  • Finches:‌ Inexpensive, and are considered songbirds cause they love to sing. These birds do not require human interaction and have a lifespan of 5 to 10 years.
  • Canaries: Just like finces, canaries tend to be very vocal, and do not need much human interaction but they do need a lot of room in there cage to fly around and get there exersice in. They have a lifespan of 9 to 10 years.
  • Parakeets: These are very active birds, they love to sing and they need lots of room to fly and play, they need about 1-2 hours of human interaction a day for them to stay happy as well as a room to fly around in with toys. Parakeets have a life span of 10 to 15 years.
  • Cockatiel: Cockatiels are very fun birds, that love human interaction as well as room to fly and hangout, one of the best bird for younger kids, males can be taught to talk unlike females are more chearpy. They have a lifespan of 15 to 20 years.
  • Medium Birds

  • Conure: Like many small bird, conures are very active and love interaction with humans, and if they do not get the attention they need which is like 3 hours a day outside the cage, they are prone to getting behavior problems and can become agressive. Conures have a lifespan of 20 to 30 years.
  • Lorikeet: These are a special bird that do not have a diet like most, they feed on nector and pollen and soft fruit, which many might not know if they do not do proper research, this food makes them give off a sweet smell which is a pro. These birds need to have social interaction throughout the day so if you would leave them alone for a 8 hour job its best to get two. They have a lifespan of 10 to 20 years.
  • Quakers: Quaker are sneaky birds, they are very vocal and can learn to open there cage. If they get bored they like to chew on things,so if not enough toys are provided you might see some nibble marks on your wood furnitre. With them being vocal they can immitate voices and other common noices around the house. They have a life span of about 20 years.
  • Large Birds

  • Macaw: Macaws go throguh toys quickly, so many need to be provided at all times, they are very inteligent and shold have lots of training and interaction to have a healthy life, you should have bird experience before getting a large bird cause they are the hardest to care for. Macaws hae a lifespan of 30 to 50 years.
  • Cockatoo: Cockatoos are the loudest in the parrot family, they are very smart birds and need lots of interaction and if its not given to they they start breaking things. This is a life long pet that has a lifespan of 50 to 80 years.
  • African Grey: They are one on the worlds most intelligent birds, they are in need of a lot of emotinal suport from there human, they have the brains mental and emotional capacity if a 5 year old child, so they tend to hold a small grudge. They need to be occupied at all times whether by toys or human interaction, but they get bored easily so there toys do need to change on a regular bases. They have a lifespan of about 80 years, which means they are a life long bird.
